Always Do the Right Thing

Chuck and his wife, Lisa, are passionate about serving their community. As the founder of Sweetwater, the largest online retailer of music instruments and pro audio equipment in the United States, Chuck’s success has been driven by a passion and dedication to “always do the right thing” in service to others.

Chuck and Lisa have a passion for partnering with organizations to help develop confident and resilient young people, advocating for those with mental illness, investing in the community they call home, and supporting local music and arts programs. It was this passion that led them to start the Surack Family Foundation so they could make a greater impact in Northeast Indiana.

As leading philanthropists in Northeast Indiana, they have served in numerous volunteer roles and regularly give to over 600 organizations annually — including music-related organizations like UPAF and Arts United, along with Fort Wayne UNITED, The Rescue Mission, Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, and Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana.
